QUEENS AWARD MBE FOR VOLUNTEER GROUPS
Today finally arrived where the SKEM MEN ACES receieved the QUEENS AWARD FOR VOLUNTEER SERVICE, which is the MBE for volunteer groups. This is the proudest most humbling day in my life, our club, its awesome Volunteers and above all each and every lad on the ACES.
For me this award is also for our incredible SKELMERSDALE community, who quite simply without their support we would not be where we are today.
I sit and remember back in 2009 when we began with Eight eager players Two coats for goals and a ball and now after almost Ten Years we stand awarded with the highest honor in this Country.
To all the lads on the ACES, you are my heroes and inspiration and from the bottom of my heart I thank you all for changing my life. A massive thanks toAngela Deakin who nominated us for the Queens Award
